Text Box: Dear Parents/Guardians:

What a wonderful privilege it is to be Principal of Tom Bean Middle School! The first three weeks of school have been an absolute joy and is a direct reflection of the wonderful teachers, staff and students at Tom Bean Middle School.

During the first week of school, we held student orientation and discipline assemblies for each grade level in an effort to orient all students with the TBMS expectations. The students have done an excellent job in responding to these expectations. In an effort to increase school-to-parent communication, our students are required to utilize their student planner this year and the students have done an outstanding job of maintaining Text Box: their daily agendas as well as using the planner as a hall pass. We recognize that this success would not be possible without the tremendous parent support that has been offered in this endeavor. In addition, we appreciate the positive feedback that has been offered by so many parents regarding the use of the student planner.

Progress reports will be sent home with students on Wednesday, September 19, and report cards will be sent home on October 10. I encourage all parents to take the time to review and discuss their child’s progress as well as report card with them on these dates.

Additionally, I encourage you to review this newsletter in full as it contains valuable information regarding your child’s academic course work as well as upcoming events.

Again, we thank you for your support and ask that you continue to ask to view your child’s planner on a daily basis Text Box: as it assists us in maximizing your child’s academic program by maintaining open communication.
