I graduated from Athens High School in 1987.  I attended Texas A&M University at Commerce and received a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a mathematics specialization.

I have had the honor of teaching at TBISD since 2000.

I married Drew in 1987 and we have lived in Tom Bean since 1994. We have 2 children Hannah and Noah. I am proud to say they both were/are students of Tom Bean ISD- the greatest district in Texas!

 I believe learning should be student centered. I want students to be active participants in their learning process. I feel each and every child has the potential to bring something special to my classroom and our community. It is my role to provide guidance through the learning process to help them develop and achieve that potential. I am cognizant that my attitude sets the climate of my classroom and that I possess the power to make a student’s learning experience difficult or exciting. My goal is to provide a variety of fun hands on activities to reach all learners in order to stimulate a passion for learning.
